PANELISTS

Cole Odin – Owner of Joy Theater., DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist

Joy Theater Productions is an SF-based record label, which puts out select vinyl releases that cross multiple genres. He was raised to the pulse of the twin hearts of the San Francisco Bay Area… a gritty underground DJ scene, and the blinding light of a rock and roll stage. His music is inspired by arm hairs on end, uncontrollable smiles, and the concept of a song you can't take off repeat. Outside of his creative endeavors, he's the outreach and community programs director for Blue Bear School of Music, where he also created their thriving electronic music and DJ program, which has been supporting the local scene with new talent since 2015.

Hannah Sitzer – Owner of Antlre Inc., Designer, Artist, and Creative Director

With 30 years of experience creating custom art designed to inspire, Hannah thrives on conceptualizing "the big idea" and creating visual experiences tailored to the identity of the recipient. Her method involves a detailed process of gaining a deep understanding of the client, taking a psychological approach to the art while often interjecting clever twists, humor, or hidden messaging.

“If there is something I dream up and I haven't tried it before, I learn the new skills needed to bring the concept to life," Hannah says. "This keeps things challenging and inspiring; there is always more to learn.”

Through multiple mediums, layered dimension, nostalgia, and curiosity, Sitzer creates bold forms and brings together uncommon materials with limitless creativity. Her style is ever-evolving, as she utilizes skills and materials learned from previous projects to ensure every Antlre piece is unique. Much of her motivation comes directly from the recipient; this high level of customization puts her work in a category of its own.

"My medium is mediums." — Hannah Sitzer

Mike Battaglia - Owner of Vinyl Dreams

Mike Battaglia has made a life working with music and keeping the torch burning for DJ and club culture in San Francisco, with tenure at SF institutions like Amoeba Music, XLR8R Magazine and KUSF, as well as thirty years of nightlife ventures both under- and overground as DJ Mike Bee. Since 2011 Mike has been running Vinyl Dreams, a DJ-focused record shop in the Lower Haight.
